Montana 7 Day Notice to Quit Week-to-Week Tenancy

The Montana seven (7) day notice to quit is served by mail or in-person by a landlord to a tenant and informs the tenant that their rental agreement will be terminated. From the time that the notice is served, the tenant will have seven (7) days to vacate the rental unit or be evicted through legal action. No justification is required to end a week-to-week tenancy, the landlord only needs to give the renter seven (7) days notice. However, if the notice is served by mail, the tenant receives three (3) additional days notice from the date that the landlord sends it.
