Nebraska 30 Day Notice to Vacate | Month to Month Tenancy

The Nebraska thirty (30) day notice to vacate is served to a month-to-month tenant by a landlord to fulfill the notice requirement when ending this type of lease agreement. When serving the tenant, the landlord must either serve it personally or send it by certified mail. Furthermore, they should make a copy of the form and fill out the “Proof of Service” section after delivery has occurred. Although month-to-month tenancy terminations do not require a specific reason, they cannot be conducted for discriminatory reasons. In the event that the renter willfully does not comply with the notice, the landlord can file an eviction case against them and recover up to three times the reward in damages or three months rent.
