The three day notice to quit is a form that is sent to the tenant due to the landlord responding to a condition that has been broken in the lease agreement. The most common is for the nonpayment of rent and can also be for noncompliance or illegal activity. The notice should be sent to the lessee, at the mailing address stated in the rental contract, via certified mail with return receipt (or can be delivered personally.
