Connecticut 30 Day Notice to Quit | Month to Month Tenancy

The Connecticut lease termination letter is for the cancellation of a month to month rental agreement and is issued to a tenant in order to give them time to move-out. Under State law, the landlord is only required to give a minimum of three (3) days’ notice, but in most month-to-month agreements one (1) month is the standard norm.

The letter should be presented to the tenant in certified mail with return receipt in an effort to have evidence that the notice was sent (as it will require the signature of the tenant that they received the notice).
