The Georgia immediate notice to pay or quit is an issued warning to a tenant that they must pay rent as soon as possible or an eviction (dispossessory action) will be filed against them. If an eviction is filed the tenant will have seven (7) days to pay the landlord but will include all fees incurred by the court.

Sending – Make sure to send the notice in such a way that a record of the tenant’s signature will be obtained upon receipt. Options include certified mail with return receipt, hand-delivering, or choosing a process server in licensed in the State of Georgia.
