Maryland 10-Day Notice to Quit | Non-Payment

The Maryland 10-day notice to quit is a letter given out of respect by the landlord to inform the tenant they are behind on their rent. Use of this notice is required before the landlord pursues an eviction lawsuit. The tenant has the right to retain their tenancy and stop the eviction by paying the total rent due within the stipulated number of days, as well as all applicable late fees and court costs before the eviction order is issued.
